## Our Story

Thirteen years ago, I found a stray dog limping down a South LA street - sick, scared, and way too young for how worn-out he looked. I named him **Arturo**. I thought he’d just coast out his last years. Instead, he got better. A lot better. Turns out he was barely five.

## Arturo & Jon

Over the next decade, I turned my own obsession with health - nutrition, functional medicine, the whole human biohacking playbook - into his. Every time he slowed, I dug deeper: better food, smarter supplements, smarter timing. Nothing off-the-shelf worked, so we built it ourselves. By the end, he was 16½ - human equivalent of 117 - still sharp, strong, cancer-free, no organ failure. Just a dog who’d been given the kind of care we usually save for ourselves.

**Arturo proved what’s possible**. Dogs don’t have to fade early. With the right science, they can thrive longer, happier, healthier.

That’s why I started Arterra. Not just to sell supplements - though we do that very well - but to solve real gaps in dog wellness, one science-backed fix at a time.

**Our mission:** bring human-grade innovation to canine healthspan, so every owner gets the same shot at a long, vibrant life.

Right now, our Dog Dental Chews are leading the charge. They’re not just treats - they’re the first real step toward whole-body care, starting where most problems do: the mouth. We’re using proven tech - like nano-hydroxyapatite - and smart botanicals to rebuild teeth, calm gums, freshen breath, and quietly support everything else. It’s simple, daily, and it works.

But dental’s just the opener. There’s so much more - gut health, joints, immunity, aging - waiting for better answers. We’re building the foundation, chew by chew, so we can keep going.

Arturo lived proof. Now we’re making it standard.
